Event Details
During the convention, the Jaycees will celebrate 2011 with various ceremonies. On Friday, Jaycees will begin celebrating local chapter and individual accomplishments at the Opening Ceremony. Satuday will consist of leadership training, meetings, dinner, and a dance. Awards will continue to be given at a General Membership Meeting and conclude Saturday evening. During the Saturday evening banquet, the Jaycees will officially usher in 2012 with the inauguration of Jennifer E. Salmon as President and the installation of the 2012 Executive Committee.
We are looking forward to seeing over 150 attendees at convention this weekend. Registration is closed except for the Training/Social pass which is $15. This pass may be purchased aboveor at the convention when registration is open.

Attire for business meetings and trainings is business professional. Please remember that the NCJC Bylaws state that there is to be no visible alcohol outside events. If you plan to room hop, please be sure to transport your adult beverages in cups.
The Friday Awards Ceremony is business professional attire and begins at 7:30pm. Please remember there is NO dinner at this event. There will be light refreshments at the Welcome Party which begins at 10:30pm. You are welcome to bring your own beverages to the party.
The Saturday Banquet/Awards Ceremony is cocktail attire/ black-tie optional. All banquet attendees must check in from 6-7pm to receive wristbands and seating assignments. Full Registration Attendees can speed through the line by exchanging their name badges for wrist bands. Saturday Night Only attendees will be checked in and issued wristbands at this time only. Banquet room doors will open at 7pm and there will be a cash bar available. THERE IS A WAITING LIST FOR THE BANQUET, SO IF YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND, PLEASE EMAIL SHANNA@NCJAYCEES.ORG.
Evening Awards Process: From the audience, award recipients will walk to the stage and go up the stairs on the right side. Recipients will cross the stage to be congratulated by the Vice Presidents. They will then step off the stage to receive the award and pose for a picture with 2011 President Troy Powell. For Chairperson Planning Guides Awards, winning submissions will be grouped by chapter and all members of the chapter are invited to walk the stage and pose for the picture.
This process will be repeated for Second Semester and Year End Chairperson Planning Guide Awards. For other Awards, individual winners should proceed to the stage and follow the same process.
We will have official photographers and photos will be available to chapters after convention. Individuals may still take their own photos at the official photo area.
Chinese Raffle to Rasie Money for Priority Projects!
This year at Year End Convention the Cardinal Corp will be sponsoring a Chinese Raffle to raise money for the NC Jaycee Priority Projects and the NC Jaycees. The raffle will run both Friday and Saturday of convention with the winners being drawn on Saturday night at the dance. Those not attending the convention can still participate by contacting Melanie Coble, at 336-317-8013 or angelsandbutterflies@hotmail.com to purchase tickets in advance. Tickets are $1.00 each or $5 for 6 tickets.
We will have 20 themed prize baskets for people to have a chance to win. Each basket will be valued at $50.00 or more and will include multiple items.They will include things such as Wal-Mart, Target, Lowes Home Improvement, Home Depot, Staples, Office Depot, Grocery Store, Gas Station, Restaurant, car Wash, and oil change gift cards, electronics, children’s toys and food and beverages.
There will also be a Casino with Texas Holdum and Blackjack for convention attendees to have the opportunity to win more raffle tickets.
